why is caffeine so bad for children

I saw a post where a mom bought her daughter a frappe from starbucks and got flamed because of the high caffeine. why is caffeine so bad for children but not to an average teenager or adult? or do our bodys react the same? Im genuinely dumb and idk

Until the age of 21 or so, our brains are still being built. At different ages in the 0-21 age range, different components of our cognitive processes are being set up, calibrated and refined.

Caffeine affects some of the receptors in the brain that normally signal the brain to get drowsy when the body needs to rest. Messing with this while that part of the brain is still developing can retard development or create a permanent dependency on caffeine.
