Because your chances of being exposed to variants the vaccine doesn’t work increase as you are aging/sexually active. That ACS guidance is outdated, both CDC and Canadian vaccine advisory body recommend HPV vaccines at all ages – it might not be as effective, but the more people are vaccinated, the less chances of spread.
