Because generally if feels better than being sober like you’re above what you normally are. Simple
Drugs enhance perception in most cases. More concentration, happiness, colors, visuals, etc. You are in a higher state of yourself. Thats also why people that got knocked out by weed for example prefer saying they’re stoned not high.
