Depending on the type of art, each piece may take months (or even years) to complete. Although some artists could make a consistent living from prints, trends can fluctuate over time.
In addition, unless it’s a commissioned piece, there’s no guarantee that it’ll sell quickly upon completion.
Not enough people being willing to pay for art. Basically art is not valued enough for most people to want to sink their money into. It’s kinda seen as a silly little thing that should just be free or something by large masses of the population
