Has anyone else noticed that when you are traveling (bus, car, train) even with the sunlight on the face, when you are just sitting and got too tired or when you are on a couch without a pillow or blanket, or even with jeans, shoos or uncomfortable cloth you have to fight to fall asleep?
And when you are in your bed, covered, with comfortable cloth, lights off and no noise you just can’t?

Probably just because you’re already relaxed and comfortable enough in that moment, and unoccupied with anything else. Your heart rate is low (resting), your muscles are relaxed, and your brain is idle. Getting up to move around and arrange yourself to fall asleep wakes up your muscles and your brain in the process.
You’re also probably sleep deprived if this is happening to you regularly. If your body is trying to conk out as soon as it feels relaxed and comfortable enough to, that’s not a good sign.
