When you sleep in makeup you’re rubbing your face (and the makeup) into your pillows, bedding, arms, and whatever else. In addition, most people drool and/or sweat a lot when they sleep, as well as your skin naturally releasing more oils and opening your follicles. All of these things together not only block up your pores and irritate your skin, but can also provide a space for bacteria to start growing. This is especially bad in and around your eyes and can lead to styes, pink eye, or even complete infection.
it’s not the end of the world if we do, but as it’s not meant to be on our skin in the first place, is probably better to take it off. Layer/s of tinted goo on our skin probably isn’t doing us a lot of favours in the long term, especially when it could be replaced with something soothing and or hydrating
