Why is it so hard to replicate the bulding of a nuclear bomb and why only a small amount of countires have them?

Uranium 235 (the unstable stuff) is chemcially no different from unranium 238 (the more stable stuff), so to separate the two so that you can get more U235 requires utilising their very, very slight difference in mass. To do this on a tonnage scale requires lots of equipment, lots of resources and lots of money.
