When my brother was a freshman and sophomore in high school (c. 2005-2007), he had a nighttime job washing dishes at this fancy Italian restaurant in our old neighborhood where our mom was a waitress.
They used to pay him $1 for every dinner plate he washed, and he used to make about $100-$150 a night, at a part time job.
Why is it so impossible to find a job like that these days? I’ve been out of high school for 8 months now and finding a job that pays that well is like finding a piece of hay in a needle stack.
