Why is it so much harder to regulate body temperature at night than during the day?

Trying to sleep and not getting your body temperature is normal (I assume) but why is that when it’s fine basically all day?

Your body is largely shutting down, and produce less heat. Thats why you feel good with a blanket at night, but not so much the case in the day, even in an air conditioned room.

The issue is, you have to try to guess how quick / long youre going to sleep, and plan your sleep attire, blankets, and air conditioning accordingly.
