WiFi channel bandwidth, occupying around 20 MHz is much wider than Bluetooth’s 1 MHz channel bandwidth, which is why one ‘supports incredibly fast speeds’ whereas the other does not. As for reliability, this is largely due to power, and equipment quality ($2 wireless mouse BT adapter vs. $20 802.11ac card in your laptop).

Wifi can transmit at a higher power level — to better punch through walls etc. Bluetooth is designed for long battery life, so it sacrifices reliability and performance in order to use less power.
