Like when you zoom into a fence the wires of the fence tend to disappear and you can see through them

Cameras have lenses that distort light around a focal plane distance. At this distance, the light coming off an object will form a sharp and clear image. Objects beyond or before this distance increasingly blur and diffuse. Fence wires are actually very thin usually so when you blur them, they very quickly lose definition and bleed into three surrounding image regions.
