Why is plague on teeth always white/yellow, even though a lot of the food we eat have different colors?

The food you ate isn’t what you’re seeing, it’s the bacteria eating the crap stuck to your teeth and the stuff they’re pooping out that you see.
You can eat food of all different colors, but your poop is almost always brown, right?
Plaque isn’t made of food, it’s made of bacteria and their waste. No matter what you eat, everyone’s mouth bacteria are similar enough that the plaque is about the same colour.
