Why is using the Cloud referred to as going ‘serverless’ when the companies offering Cloud services are STILL using servers?

Same way that using a wireless router is still called wireless even though it’s plugged into the wall. It’s wireless for the bit I care about, but still has wires at the bit that connects to the internet.

Going serverless means “someone else deals with the servers”, not “I’ll never use servers again”.
