why isnt brulidine (dibrompropamidine creame) used widely outside of the UK and Norway?

It has recently been discontinued in Norway since it’s only really we and the UK that use it? At least from what I’ve found. There is very little information about it on the internet from outside if Norway and the UK. So why is it not used widely? Or why cant I find much about it?

It is a cream used for disinfecting wounds and so on. It’s very effective and I’ve used it all my childhood.

You can get it in the US (it’s called Bacitracin). But Neosporin is more popular and wide-spread since it has three antibiotics and brulidine only has one.

I grew up in the US and I’ve never used anything except Neosporin.
