Our brains remember lots of things, but the ones where we fucked up, or society thought we fucked up, and caused a feeling of embarrassment are stronger and more noticable.
You probably remember other random shit all the time but it doesn’t make an impression on you like remembering embarrassing things does so you forget again.
To reminds you what happens when you fuck up and that you probably don’t want to do it again.
