Relaxes a muscle called the iliopsoas. The iliopsoas is a wile fucker. If you have lower back pain, learn as much as you can about the iliopsoas.

And here I am, doing it just for the fact that I don’t like my knee bones rubbing against each other.

I believe I saw videos of it before. it helps you visualize it. Did you mean when people sleep sideways or even on their backs?

Are there any other cool tips or tricks for stomach sleepers? I cannot for the life of me fall asleep unless I’m on my stomach but I feel like it’s not healthy for me.

If I had a small butt, then when I laid down my spine would lay flat against the bed when I’m on my back.

I don’t have a small butt. So it raises up my pelvis, and makes my back arch. If I put a pillow under my legs, it points my butt down towards my feet a bit more, so my hips are lower towards the bed, and my back can lay flat.

My wife scoffs at me when I take a large pillow and cram it under my knees on the couch or put one between my legs sideways on the bed. I can’t sleep if im NOT putting some space between some joints.
