why scratching sunburn makes the skin turn white, when scratching unburnt soon turns red.

So I’m very red right now, usually white. (Thanks sun.) And noticed white streaks on my legs from where I scratched. I get why scratching skin would make blood flow there, but why would sunburn make the opposite happen?

Pressing down on sunburn pushes the blood away. When you stop pressing it turns back to red (rather slowly sometimes).
