why so many companies are going down in the span of a week (facebook, fortnite, valorant, my shitty internet provider, instagram and whatsapp)

Many of these companies depends on a single host provider, AWS.
If AWS have trouble, so does these companies. If all those companies had their own 100% datacenter for themselves without relying on 3rd party, that wouldn’t be much of a problem.
This is kinda a problem as more and more companies relies on AWS due fact that is cheaper than having their own datacenters and if a Big outage happens, it could create a global issue.
