I’m American and cannot figure out how the r is added to Peppa’s name when her dad says it. It sounds like Pepper. Not saying it’s wrong. My brain just needs to connect lol

I last watched the British show Skins well over a decade ago, and I still have to stop myself from saying “vodkar” out loud when talking about the liquor, they said it so much it just stuck with me as my favorite pronunciation.
What’s interesting is I’ve also heard many British people insist that they don’t do it so I think it might be one of those things only an outsider hears.
