I’m no expert, but I believe it has to do with only having a certain amount of pigmentation in hair follicles, which gradually reduces over time. Some people just have less pigmentation than others, causing them to go grey faster. There are certain aspects that can also cause hair to grey faster, such as constant stress over long periods of time, as the stress affects the stem cells responsible for production of the hair pigmentation.
