In the animal kingdom, big animal/insect often eat small one. So how come, the tarantula hawk which are quite small with flimsy frame can hunt a spider that are bigger, stronger, heavier?

Tarantula Hawks have evolved to be immune to a tarantula’s venom, so the tarantula basically has no defenses against it. When a tarantula is trying to intimidate/prepare for an attack, it will lean back on its hind legs and raise its front legs into the air. Its underside is soft and vulnerable, and tarantula hawks have somehow learned over hundreds/thousands of evolutionary generations that if you sting it there, you will take it out. T-Hawks are small but very fast, and afaik tarantulas don’t have the extremely fine motor skills to visually track them and knock them out of the air.
