Figuring out who gets paid what, and issuing the paychecks, takes time. The more often you do it, the more often you’re spending that time. Spending an hour a day to do payroll stacks up to a lot more time than spending three hours once every two weeks.

Because it’s obnoxious for finance teams to process pay. Doing daily would increase overhead costs for a company by requiring them to hire more people just to pay everyone more frequently. It wouldn’t make sense.
