Why to bananas turn brown once placed into the freezer ? Yet if you buy a bag of frozen bananas (for a smoothie etc) they are still yellow?

freezing doesn’t matter. it’s the time since ripeness.

If you peel them, chop them up, and wrap them up in wax paper or even throw them in one of those reusable silicone freezer bags, they stay yellow. I’ve been freezing bananas for years.
