What’s not to like about getting fresh milk delivered every day? We still do.
Also, before supermarkets people did their shopping on a more day-to-day basis, plus not everyone had a large enough fridge to store a week’s worth of milk.
Householders could also specify how much milk they wanted delivered – often via a note put into the empty bottles. Great if you have guests, or are planing to bake tomorrow.
