Wireless Mesh Topology

I’ve got into networking and couldn’t understand this topology. Can anyone explain and help me understand?

Basically it’s when you want a network but don’t have everything physically connected to the central internet but instead have a bunch of things like wifi routers that are on the same network but not actually wired together. In a normal mesh, there is a physical connection between routers, but in a wireless mesh, they’re the same network but not actually touching. It works in larger examples like if you have a satellite connecting different areas that don’t have any actual wires running between them.
