Wireless Mesh Topology

Question

I’ve got into networking and couldn’t understand this topology. Can anyone explain and help me understand?

Note that it does not have a definition that everyone agrees to. But most take it to mean a topology where the Access Points communicate with each other over wifi, and cabled network where available, and negotiate among themselves where to route the traffic. An access point can therefore act as a stand alone access point or a repeater to any of the neighbouring access points depending on signal conditions and what type of traffic is on the network.
