If ejaculate/semen/cum does indeed have sugar in it for sperm to consume, then why does it not taste sweet? If it’s just glucose then it should taste at least somewhat similar to simple sugars.

there’s enough to maintain quality sperm as a source of energy, but they don’t need enough sugar to maintain, shall we say, an American diet.

They aren’t going for obesity, but temporary life to impregnate an egg, not stay for a week.

Yes glucose is like, the standard sugar, but the average person describes plain glucose as having a a more mild sweetness or more likely a starchy taste

Compared to fructose (which tastes really really sweet) or sucrose (which is essentially a combination of fructose and glucose that our body easily breaks down). Compared to those just plain glucose is super crazy sweet.

Semen contains fructose, but it’s a very small amount of its volume. As in, 0.005 grams/mL of semen toward the upper end of normal.
