Are Xbox servers bad compared to its competition? If so, why is it they are often down?

Xbox servers seem to be down very often compared to PS4. Im not entirely sure because I mostly play on Xbox, but it happens very often for some reason. From your experience or background in the field, why is it so? Is there anything they can do?

I’ve had quite the opposite experience. Especially switching from Xbox to PS4. But no regrets. Far better exclusives and more of them.
