Some stuff like mice for computers is set up specifically right-handed. As are most scissors and other office supplies. So lefties are forced to use their right hands oftentimes due to right handed use being the default setting.

But I was born to be left handed and got switched thanks to a religious upbringing where the left hand is “the hand of the devil”. I was forced to do everything with my right hand and it caused me to be completely ambidextrous for a few years until it got worn down enough to almost fade away. Now I can still use my left hand for tasks like eating in general, any sort of throwing sport and archery, and for handling things that don’t need superfine motor skills. The problem is, my handwriting absolutely sucks with either hand now. I write best in cursive with my right hand only.

My grandmother was left hand, but could write with either hand. When she was in grade school, if the teachers saw her writing with her left hand they would slap her left hand with a ruler.
