Can someone explain the Dirac equation?

I don’t need tons of detail I just looked it up but I’m not really able to conceptualize it.

Thank you!

The Dirac equation is a relativistic equation describing the behavior of a massive charged particle. It’s a replacement to the non-relativistic Schrödinger equation.

Essentially it is what you get when you take the Schroedinger wave equation and add relativity into the mix.

The Schroedingers wave equation is what happens when you try to solve System Energy (kinetic plus potential) equation in wave form.
