Can you die from pain alone?

Hey there, had a quick search and couldn’t find an exact answer to this, apologies if it has been posted alone.

My question is whether someone can die from pain alone.

So, say someone isn’t ill or injured but they’re in an unspeakable amount of pain (idk, due to a nervous system problem) – there’s no physical injury whatsoever but the brain is sending pain signals that put the person in an unbearable amount of pain.

Is there such an amount of pain that – even without any physical damage, illness or injury – could lead to the person dying? So essentially, is there a certain level of pain which could trigger hormone releases/blood pressure spikes/ a heart attack etc that could kill?

I know it’s possible to die from shock, and pain can induce shock. So, by the transitive properties of association; yes, it is possible for pain to kill you.

well, yes but not directly.
Pain generate stress in the body, long term pain can lead to a early death related to stress.
But pain its a response of the brain/body something going wrong external or internal, healthy bodies don’t have pain simply because.
