No, Once a woman gets pregnant her body will not release another egg. That is how the birth control pill works. The pill makes the body think it is already pregnant so it wont release more eggs.

Yes, that’s how fraternal twins (triplets, etc..) happen as opposed to identical tins when one fertilized egg winds up splitting into two or more separate entities.

Several things can contribute. Some are genetically predisposed to multiple eggs being released, it increases as you age and the hormones governing cycle change, fertility drugs that affect those same hormones can cause it, things like that.
