Do root vegetables like carrots have a fruit that grows above ground? I know they have flowers

Carrots do, and they produce tiny black seeds. The flowers are pretty white or yellowish white in carrots. Same with parsley, parsnip and similar. Potatoes also have yellow flowers that can produce seeds.
