Does is matter how many bristles toothbrush have?

Is there any added benefit to more bristles? Right now I’m using a toothbrush with 5 000 bristles, would 10 000 be better for my teeth?

Number of bristles… not so much… size, shape, hardness of said bristles and the toothbrush head much bigger factor on cleaning efficiency vs enamel wear vs gingivsl trauma

The thing that matters is that you’re brushing at least twice a day, and for a full two minutes each time. Everything else is just nitpicking.

As always: Do not take medical advice from the internet. See a doctor for all medical questions. Ask your dentist if the toothbrush would matter for you.

Not a dentist. Having bristles help clean teeth. There has to be diminishing returns at some point. Which is essentially why we started having vibrating heads to move the bristles we have in a better way.
