it would probably be difficult to detect at first, but you could probably find it.

Because potassium and chlorine are already naturally found in your body, they are actually ions that some of our cells need to function.

So you wouldn’t be able to just test if they are present you would have to try and test for heightened levels of potassium chloride. Which actually probably would be possible since it actually would take quite a lot of KCl to be lethal

I think you are thinking of potassium cyanide. potassium chloride is a food safe preservative.
