Recently after my workouts I’ve been drinking coffee to stay awake through my classes and protein to keep building that muscle, but would the caffeine interfere with the protein from the protein shake? Should I drink the protein shake a little after I drink the coffee? If so does the same thing apply to tea?
I can’t imagine caffeine would have any significant impact on protein absorption/bioavailability. In fact, caffeine is probably the biggest component of those pre-workout pacs a lot of companies sell (caffeine and a vasodialater to increase blood flow). If anything, drinking your coffee with your morning shake should help fill you up a bit more and keep you full a bit longer
