eli5: How are battle royale games not the most laggiest things in the world? If theres 100-200 people in one server picking up guns, shooting eachother, bullets flying everywhere, why isn’t it so laggy?

The server has to keep track of 150 people, but the clients don’t need all that information. They only need to keep track of the people near them.
