For example if you have a recycling bin and they refuse to collect it because something inside was not recyclable? It’s a common enough issue where I live but I was always wondering if there’s something more then just the bin man lifting the lid.

They don’t know apparently. At least not where my parents live. They treat each bin the same. No one has complained about finding chicken parts mixed with aluminum cans as far as I know.
