Well, cloning is when scientists take the DNA from an animal and use it to create an exact copy of the original animal. They take an egg cell and remove the nucleus, which contains DNA, and replace it with the DNA from the animal they want to clone. Then they use a small shock to start the development process and implant the egg into a surrogate mother who carries and gives birth to the cloned animal.
