Eli5: how does jet flame lighter work and how does it differ from a soft flame lighter

What are the differences between a soft flame lighter and a jet flame lighter? How do they create the jet flame?

Jet flame lighters have a tighter nozzles which in turn create a high pressure spray. The spray has finer droplets which lets the fuel mix more with the air. This results in hotter, more thorough ignitions.
