Eli5: If Earth was just a tad bit closer/further from the Sun, would we burn/freeze?

I’m thinking about 1 mile away or closer to the sun.

For comparison,

A 1% change in luminosity would be equivalent to a change in distance of about 0.5%, or about 700,000 km.
Counterbalancing that, the greenhouse effect was *much* greater 100 million years ago.
