Eli5: If Earth was just a tad bit closer/further from the Sun, would we burn/freeze?

I’m thinking about 1 mile away or closer to the sun.

One mile away wouldn’t make any significant difference. There would be a difference inherently as the Earth would be receiving more/less radiation, but since the Earth is +- 90 million miles from the Sun, 1 mile wouldn’t impact our lives all that much.
