eli5: its sunny out, blue sky but only one big cloud in the sky? ive never seen anything like it. is there a reason?

It will have drifted in from where it was made, it could’ve formed over a mountain as cool air meets warm air and condenses moisture into clouds, it could’ve formed as evaporation over a lake, or forest.
Basically, the structure of the earth impacts how clouds are made, so one particular land formation with little else around it, could create a single cloud.
