We vaccine dogs against Parvovirus but why is there no vaccine for the human strains?

They’re just very different in how virulent they are.

[The one that infects dogs (and cats)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canine_parvovirus) causes severe to deadly disease in most. That’s well worth preventing.

[The one that infects humans](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parvovirus_B19) causes mild or no disease in most, other than those who are already immunocompromised or have other comorbidities. There’s much less benefit to be had from a vaccination program.
