Eli5 Since the electrons cause us to repel everything, how are we able to feel anything?

Our blob of combined atoms getting repelled by whatever atoms you are touching squishes a few atoms called a skin receptor which then pushes electrons down a wire of atoms called a nerve to tell your brain you touched something.

Electrons do repel other electrons. However we are larger than sub atomic particles.

So we are able to feel things but the subatomic particles are not relevant to or sense of contact with objects.
