I’ve heard cluster headaches are among the most painful things a human can experience, so I’m just wondering what happens in the body that would cause so much agony?

No one really knows. There are some hints about it being caused by histamine responses, or even smoking or alcohol use. But the actual cause has never been discovered.
I’ve never heard this term before. What’s it mean?
Mine are caused by stress. Which is just awesome. Twice I had clusters start up during finals week. Missed 2 finals because of them.
