Skibidi toilet is just referencing the video series. It was popular, a lot of older people didn’t understand it, bringing more attention to it, which made it more popular and cool to reference since it confuses older people, which only brings more attention etc etc etc. When people say skibidi toilet randomly or with nonsensical phrases, it doesn’t mean anything really, it’s just a cool thing to say to confuse older people.
It’s banana phone, or badger badger, or drinking out of cups, basically. We were also pretty post modern.
I am 42 and don’t understand what’s happening. I want my blanket. Where’s my cocoa? You’re not the nice nurse they had yesterday. My feet are cold.
To this I will only add that I have found that to say the words Skibidi or Skibidi Toilet to your own teenagers at home is to have possession of words of immense power to vanquish and appall. It is like waving a crucifix at a vampire, such is the awesome power of the cringing retreat. 🙂
