Eventually they die, and then get swept out of the woman’s body or absorbed. The woman’s body is actually pretty efficient at getting rid of things not needed or that aren’t suppose to be there. Think of all the unfertilized eggs that pass, and the blood and other tissues that pass every month with her period, etc.
