Eli5: What is a dry spring on rural land?

Looking for property with a natural spring and have seen a couple listings mention a dry spring on the property. Can someone explain what a dry spring is and if it is a beneficial amenity?

“Dry spring” could mean a seasonal spring, IE. it only flows during wet seasons.

To be sure, for clarity. I would simply ask the sellers or relator what they mean by the term.

It won’t be a reliable year round water source. It will only flow during part of the year and the water output will probably vary even when it is flowing. Similarly in the arid western United States, you have a lot of seasonal streams that are dry most of the year, but have running water during the rainy season.
