eli5: what will happen if you have pain(like broken bone) and you don’t take pain killers? how body and brain will react/adjust?

It’ll hurt. You will try to change your life patterns like movement, rest etc to reduce the pain, and eventually you’ll in many cases get used to it. But if you have a broken bone that is not set and healed properly it can cause internal damage, or permanently set wrongly
